Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
“Investing in accessibility isn’t just about compliance—it’s about protecting your business from legal risk, enhancing your brand’s social impact, and unlocking new growth opportunities by welcoming all customers and community members.
Beyond Able helps you create inclusive spaces that meet legal standards, foster trust, and drive success.”
My Story

As the sole consultant at my business, I am deeply committed to supporting children with special needs, a passion that originated from my early experience babysitting two exceptional children on the autism spectrum.

My training in ABA therapy fostered a strong affinity for this field, leading me to graduate with distinction in Communications from Purdue University and subsequently obtain a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Connecticut.

Becoming a special education teacher provided unparalleled experience with authentic users navigating online environments. The barriers they encountered were many, but these were no average students. Their drive and determination to find “work arounds” inspired me to do the same.
Collaborating with skilled professionals in at-risk public high school illuminated the challenges that people with special needs encounter in accessing inclusive workplace environments. I decided to focus my skills on improving their chances of success, not by trying to “fix” them, but by helping organizations find fixes of their own.
My former students are now working adults, struggling to access personal IEP documentation at their university’s online web portal, identify fine print details about debits and deposits in their online billing statement, and navigate the complex links to various HR benefits listed on their employer’s website. We can do better.
With a unique understanding of compliance and accessibility, I am dedicated to building the capacity of corporate and community organizations working toward a more inclusive future for us all. Together, we can move beyond judging who is and who is not “able” to a world where, just as we are, everyone can thrive.
